Mozpots Return

Two craft groups Mosaics and Pottery, collectively known as Mozpots, led by Vicky Hendzel-Walker, (VJH-Ceramics) tutor and ceramic artist.

Before the pandemic, these groups established well, met weekly and the individuals who attended, all from different backgrounds, generational and ability, do so for their mental health and well-being, re-building their confidence and social inclusions.

Throughout lock-down Vicky offered weekly virtual tutoring via Zoom allowing most of the clients to keep in touch, sharing their creative ideas.

Everyone seem happy and pleased to be back within the space and I quote “It is giving them a sense of purpose, returning to a form of routine, some sort of normality”, providing them with structure that they have longed for during lock-down. Allowing to complete the mosaic wall mural for the centre and enables all to return safely, developed within line of the current government guidelines.

Mozpots are getting involved with Cheltenham Open Studio. Opening for the two weekends 25th– 26th September and 2nd-3rd October. Displaying and demonstrating their creative pieces and ideas. Also offering mini workshops and refreshments

If you would like to discover more, both workshops are on-going and everyone are at different stages of creativity. Meet weekly at Gas Green Community Centre in Cheltenham.

Mosaics on Monday’s 1.30-3.30 cost £30 monthly

Pottery on Wednesday’s 10-12noon cost £35 monthly.

Like to attend both groups £60 for the month or prefer to pay per session £10
